Online booking, the workshop diary, vehicle health checks, reminders and invoicing cost nothing. The only things you pay for are text messages and vehicle-reg lookups — and a website, if you want one.

What you actually pay for
Texts and vehicle-reg lookups are bought as pay-as-you-go credit, topped up whenever you like. No monthly minimum, and nothing expires.
Text messages
Booking confirmations, MOT and service reminders. Longer texts count as more than one.
Reg lookups
Type a registration, get the vehicle. Only charged when we actually fetch the data.
Common questions
Is the system really free?
Yes. Online booking, the diary, vehicle health checks, reminders, invoicing and customer history are free to use, with no time limit and no card needed to start. So is your website. We make our money on the texts and reg lookups you choose to use, and on optional extras like your own domain name.
What happens if I run out of credit?
Bookings are never blocked. You'll be emailed before you run low, and you can top up whenever suits.
Is there any VAT?
No VAT is added. The price you see is the price you pay.
Am I tied into a contract?
No. There is nothing to be tied into — the system and your website are free, and credit is bought as you need it.
Can I use my own domain?
Your website is free on your own yourgarage.garagebyte.co.uk address. If you'd rather use your own domain name, we register it and set it up for you for £25 a year.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Your garage has its own isolated database. You can request an export at any time, and we delete your data on request after you leave.
Do you do MOT reminders?
Yes — automatic MOT and service reminders by email and text are built in.
