Yes. Your first month is free. After that it is £49.99 a month. You can cancel at any time, and there is no contract. The free month is for the software. Texts, vehicle lookups and AI (if you use it) come out of credit from the first day.

Booking, the diary, health checks with photos, customer history, invoicing, email reminders and a website on a garagebyte.co.uk address. We set it up for you and you get email support. Texts, vehicle lookups and AI (if you use it) are on top.

Running out of credit never blocks your bookings. We email you when your credit is low, and you can top up whenever it suits you. We may hold texts and stop vehicle lookups until you do. A text that has waited more than three days is not sent. Your credit can go down to minus £5 before texts and lookups stop. Your next top-up pays the amount below zero first. AI stops when your credit gets to zero.

GarageByte has AI features: the AI inbox, the reception chat and the Bills inbox. You can pay for them from your prepaid credit, the same credit as texts and lookups. Each AI use costs what our AI provider charges us, plus 20%. Our provider charges us in US dollars. We change dollars to pounds at a fixed rate. It is the rate that we paid our AI provider for each US dollar when we set the AI price. That rate includes the fee and VAT that we paid. Your billing page shows your AI uses and their prices. AI stops when your credit gets to zero. The last AI use can take your credit a little below zero. Your next top-up pays that first. If an AI use times out and no answer comes back, you pay nothing for it. To use AI credit, ask us to turn it on for your garage.

No. We sell GarageByte's own AI features, not access to an AI model. You do not get an AI key, and you cannot send your own requests to the AI. You can use a key from your own Anthropic account instead. Then Anthropic charges you, and we take nothing. Anthropic's own terms apply to that use. Ask us to set it up.

No VAT is added. The price you see is the price you pay.

No. You pay month to month and can cancel at any time. It ends at the end of the month you have paid for.

Your website works on yourgarage.garagebyte.co.uk as part of the monthly price. If you would rather use your own domain name, we register it and set it up for you for £25 a year.

Your garage has its own database. You can ask for an export at any time. We delete your data 60 days after your plan ends, or sooner if you ask. If we suspended your garage for a failed payment, we do not treat your plan as ended, and we keep your data until you start a new plan or ask us to delete it.

Yes. They go out by email and by text on the schedule you set. Texts are 6.58p a segment.

Yes. You can import a spreadsheet yourself at no extra charge, or send us a request through the contact form and we will quote you for moving the data across.
